May we begin by sharing that we at Forming Faithful Families are SINNNERS.
As SINNERS, we often fail, and turn with confidence to our always Merciful Lord, Jesus. Jesus came not to call and save the righteous, but sinners.
And indeed I did not come to call the virtuous, but sinners. (Matthew 9:13)
We have noticed that there has been ever increasing and widespread confusion and controversy in society over the matter of homosexuality popularly referred to as LGBT, meaning lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender. What we intend to do on this page is to share the teachings of the Holy Catholic Church on this subject by simply posting verbatim the text from the Catechism of the Catholic Church regarding Chastity and homosexuality, while avoiding any commentary since the teaching in the text itself is lucid, succinct, and thorough.
We would like to say to you our visitor, no matter who you are or what you believe, we love you, the Church loves you, and our Heavenly Father in heaven especially loves you. As a matter of fact He loves you infinitely as if you were the only person He ever created. He sent His son, Jesus to die for you on the Cross for your salvation.
In conclusion may we say that all of the Catholic Church’s teachings are really a love letter from God, a loving ideal and guide to live by so we can be happy both here on earth and in eternity with the One Who is Love, Jesus, our Lord. The Catholic Church’s teachings are not an imposition, but a profound gift from God offered out of His astounding love for you.

LIFE IN CHRIST
SECTION TWO
THE TEN COMMANDMENTS
CHAPTER TWO
"YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF"
ARTICLE 6
THE SIXTH COMMANDMENT
You shall not commit adultery.[i]
You have heard that it was said, "You shall not commit adultery." But I say to you that every one who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.[ii]
Chastity and homosexuality
2357 Homosexuality refers to relations between men or between women who experience an exclusive or predominant sexual attraction toward persons of the same sex. It has taken a great variety of forms through the centuries and in different cultures. Its psychological genesis remains largely unexplained. Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity,[iii] tradition has always declared that "homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered."[iv] They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved.
2358 The number of men and women who have deep-seated homosexual tendencies is not negligible. This inclination, which is objectively disordered, constitutes for most of them a trial. They must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided. These persons are called to fulfill God's will in their lives and, if they are Christians, to unite to the sacrifice of the Lord's Cross the difficulties they may encounter from their condition.
2359 Homosexual persons are called to chastity. By the virtues of self-mastery that teach them inner freedom, at times by the support of disinterested friendship, by prayer and sacramental grace, they can and should gradually and resolutely approach Christian perfection.
